Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, the film is set in Mohenjo Daro, the most prominent city of the Indus Valley civilisation. It took three years for the director to develop the movie. Talking about his preparation for the film, Asutosh had earlier said, “I always do the research myself. I read all the books on the subject that I am going to adapt and understand the era myself. It can take a long time but it prepares you well.”
The film, which has extensively been shot in Bhuj and Pune, will release alongside Akshay Kumar’s Rustom on August 12.
